Kushi makers dismiss rumours around Vijay Deverakonda-Samantha’s injuries during shoot; team returns to Hyderabad

A rom-com set amid a Kashmir backdrop starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha - doesn’t it sound like a tease already? Many are eager to catch the on-screen pair at the theatres on December 23 with Kushi, the Shiva Nirvana directorial, produced by Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni under Mythri Movie Makers.

The Kushi team had wrapped a crucial first schedule in Kashmir earlier this week. Rumours have been doing the rounds that Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha were injured while shooting for Kushi in the Kashmir schedule. The director, earlier in the day, has clarified that there’s little truth to such reports. An official statement from Kushi team confirms us that the entire team had returned to Hyderabad yesterday after a 30-day-long first schedule.

While returning to Hyderabad, Shiva Nirvana had also tweeted an image where he, Vennela Kishore and Vijay Deverakonda are sharing a light-hearted moment. The image, interestingly, is captured by the lead actress Samantha herself. After Kashmir, several portions of Kushi will be shot actress picturesque locales in Hyderabad, Vizag, and Alleppey.

The shoot is expected to progress at a brisk pace. The makers are reportedly very happy with the way the film is shaping up and director Shiva Nirvana had earlier congratulated the team for their efforts in completing an important schedule. Hesham Abdul Wahab scores the music for the film cinematographed by G Murali and edited by Prawin Pudi. Kushi will have a simultaneous release in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada too.
