Both Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha are in need of hits after tasting failures with Liger and Shaakuntalam and a feel-good film like Kushi promises to be a safe bet for the duo. Hesham Abdul Wahab, who shot to fame with Hridayam, is making his Telugu debut with the project - songs like Na Roja Nuvve, Aradhya, the title track and other names have made a mark with listeners.

The film is hitting screens across the globe in 5 languages today - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada - amidst huge expectations. The story revolves around Viplav and Aradhya. The former accidentally meets his lady love in the middle of a work trip in Kashmir and wins her over after a lot of persuasion. They face opposition for marriage but tie the knot. Where’s their saga headed?

Early reviews for Kushi suggest that Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha have scored a blockbuster. Audiences are in awe of their on-screen chemistry, praising the film’s cinematography, music and director Shiva Nirvana’s mature treatment of the subject. The first half has received better reviews in comparison to the post-intermission portions but the feedback is largely positive.

Some have also appreciated the comedy segments of Kushi, particularly the scenes between Vennela Kishore and Vijay Deverakonda. Most posts suggest that Kushi is an ideal blend of romance, emotions and comedy, making it a perfect entertainer for family audiences and youngsters this weekend. Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar and Saranya Pradeep are also part of the cast.
