Kuttey: Things to look forward to at 'Mehfil - E - KHAAS’, the music launch event of Arjun Kapoor, Tabu’s film

Kuttey is gearing up to take the silver screen by storm in just a few days. The directorial debut of Vishal Bhardwaj's son, Aasmaan Bhardwaj, the upcoming action thriller offers viewers a lot to look forward to. The star studded cast apart, the film’s soundtrack also promises to be a musical treat for viewers, featuring the powerhouse combo of Vishal Bhardwaj and Gulzar. The makers will launch the music of the film in a grand event titled, Mehfil - E - KHAAS. Here’s all you need to know about the musical launch event.

The event is set to take place on January 10, Tuesday, at Sun and Sand, Juhu. in addition to unveiling the songs from the film’s soundtrack, the event will feature performances of songs from the soundtracks of a plethora of films.

Vishal Bhardwaj, who has composed the music of Kuttey, will kickstart the event by performing the song Bekaraan from the film 7 Khoon Maaf. Then Gulzar, who has penned the lyrics to Kuttey’s songs, will perform Azaadi, a track from the upcoming film. Rekha Bhardwaj will perform Namak Ishq Ka from Omkara, as well as the title track from Kuttey. The latter will be dedicated to the film’s director, Aasmaan.

The songs Paani Paani Rey, Ek Wo Din, and Rone Do from the films Maachis, Chachi 420 and Maqbool will also be performed. Rekha will dedicate a song to Tabu, while Vishal will dedicate one to Arjun Kapoor. The song Dil toh bacha hai ji from the film Ishqiya will be dedicated to Arjun. Vishal and Rekha will also dedicate songs from Kaminey for Radhika Madan and Shardul Bhardwaj.

The songs Tere Saath, Phir dan te dan and Awaara Dogs have already been released from Kuttey’s soundtrack.

Kuttey, which also stars Kumud Mishra and Konkona Sen Sharma, will hit the big screen on January 13, 2023.
