L367: Mohanlal announces film with Meppadiyan director Vishnu Mohan, poster hints another thriller

Barely a few hours after he announced the release date of his upcoming film Patriot with Mammootty, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has announced his next project. Tentatively titled L367, the film would be helmed by Vishnu Mohan, who previously helmed Meppadiyan. The superstar also dropped the first poster of the film, which hints that a thriller is on the cards.

Mohanlal is joining hands with filmmaker Vishnu Mohan for his next film, tentatively titled L367. The upcoming Malayalam movie, which would mark Mohanlal’s 367th film, would start rolling soon, the makers have said. 

“I am truly delighted to collaborate with director Vishnu Mohan on this exciting venture, produced by Shri Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies,” Mohanlal wrote on social media. He also dropped a poster which showed an aerial view of a highway with vehicles stuck in traffic while the opposite lane is completely free but for one vehicle. Vishnu Mohan has also scripted the movie. Vishnu Mohan had earlier helmed Meppadiyan, starring actor Unni Mukundan, and won a National Award for his debut venture The poster does give thriller vibes.

The film would be mounted on a big scale, and the makers plan to rope in stars from Bollywood. More details about the cast and crew details would be revealed soon.

Which is Mohanlal-Tharun Moorthy film

On the other hand, Mohanlal has already kickstarted his film with Thudarum director Tharun Moorthy. Tentatively titled L366, the Tharun Moorthy film went on floors on January 23 in Thodupuzha. There is a lot of expectation from L366 as it marks the reunion of Mohanlal and Tharun after their blockbuster collaboration of Thudarum. Actress Meera Jasmine is also said to be part of the film.

Mohanlal’s upcoming films include Jeethu Joseph’s Drishyam 3, releasing on April 2. He will also play a key role in Mammootty-starrer Patriot, which will hit theatres on April 23.
