Aamir Khan is one of the most refined actors in the country today, who is also known for going the extra mile. Known as “Mr. Perfectionist” for the same reason, the actor’s dedication to the craft and character is well established. The latest story from the sets of his upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha is further proof for this, as reports suggest that Aamir Khan had to do a taxing stretch of the movie on painkillers.

According to reports, Aamir filmed the long running sequence from the movie, which is the remake of Forrest Gump, on painkillers, after he suffered from a knee injury and was undergoing physiotherapy.

The actor did not want to take a break from filming the sequence due to injury because the movie was constantly being delayed during the pandemic. So he decided to push through the injury to film the taxing sequence in order to avoid further postponement of the project.

The running sequence in the movie is a scene fans will be eagerly waiting for in the remake. Reports suggest that like the original, the titular character will run for years across picturesque locations of the country, in what will be a telling scene.

Bankrolled by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, Laal Singh Chaddha is written by Atul Kulkarni, who has adapted Eric Roth’s original screenplay. The movie is helmed by Advait Chandan and will tell a story that spans over 50 years.

Apart from Aamir Khan in the lead, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh and Manav Vij among others. The movie, which is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year, is set to hit theatres on August 11.
