Not many need an introduction that Nagarjuna is an evergreen charmer and can find a way to a woman's heart even at 61. Laddunda, the first single from his next movie, Bangarraju, is truly a celebration of what he does best - on-screen romance. This time around, he isn't only wooing women in front of the camera but also does his bit off the screen as he turns a playback singer. Dhanunjay, Mohana Bogaraju, Nuthana Mohan and Haripriya give him formidable company as they join him to croon for Laddunda, lyricised by Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar. The song was launched earlier on Tuesday.

The lyrical video of Laddunda starts off on an interesting note with Nagarjuna's opening word Daantakudadana, for which the composer Anup Rubens asks the meaning. Nagarjuna cheekily responds, 'What were you doing all these years?' He then takes the lead to sing, 'Cherukuthotalo Chaaredu Biyyam, Vanga Thotalo Maradali Kayyam, Lagetthi Kodithe Laddunda' briefly before the other voclaists take over. The voice of Dhanunjay, who sang the popular number Dikka Dikka Dum Dum in the film's prequel Soggade Chinni Nayana, fits Nagarjuna's personality and enthusiasm perfectly.

In Bangarraju, Laddunda is set amidst a hell-like backdrop, where the title character played by Nagarjuna shakes a leg to a number with the women. The most prominent of the faces here is actress Vedhika. The number has the women and Bangarraju complimenting each other about their irresistible charm, filled with flirtatious, fun lines that make for enjoyable hearing. Yuvraj's cinematography adds a lot of visual flavour, colour and texture to the song that's crisp and grows on you well.

Bangarraju, also starring Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Ramya Krishna, is currently being shot in Mysore. The film is written and directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, who also directed the film's prequel Soggade Chinni Nayana, while veteran writer Satyanand has penned the screenplay. The rural entertainer is produced by Annapurna Studios in collaboration with Zee Studios. Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, Vennela Kishore and Jhansi play supporting roles while Brahma Kadali is the art director.
