Fipola, a meat and seafood brand, has chosen popular film actor Nayanthara as its brand ambassador, to establish itself as an industry player. A new television commercial and a multimedia campaign featuring the 'Lady Superstar' will be aired in the coming months, according to a press release.
"Cinema has always been the heartbeat of India and food lovers can easily connect with their favourite movie star," said, Fipola founder and CEO Sushil Kanugolu, in a statement, adding, that the brand aims to attract the meat and seafood lovers of India by assigning one of the most talented and dynamic personalities like Nayanthara.
According to Sushil, the company as of July operates 100 stores in southern parts of the country.
On being made the brand ambassador, Nayanthara said, she believes in what the brand stands for and its promise of delivering the freshest meat and seafood to customers. "I am extremely happy to be associated with Fipola as it is fast becoming a household name in the South and look forward to a long and productive partnership with the brand."
Nayanthara is distinguished from most male stars by her presence and popularity in all five South Indian states. She has consistently delivered hits in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, with a strategy that embraces the idolatry surrounding male superstars and their films while also attempting to chart her unique path.
Nayanthara was the first and only female actor from the South Indian film industry to make the Forbes India Celebrity 100 List in 2018. Her total earnings were estimated to be Rs 15.17 crore.
Furthermore, in an age when an actor's success and influence are measured by social media followers, Nayanthara's fame is old-school organic. According to her, an actor's enduring connection with her audience stems from the types of films she makes, the messages she conveys through her work, and the way she lives her life and conducts herself off-screen.
With big-ticket projects like director Atlee's Hindi film with Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara has now trained her focus on an upcoming lineup of films that are likely to boost her pan-India presence.
Additionally, she's producing films under the Rowdy Pictures banner, which she co-founded with her husband Vignesh Shivn, besides dabbling in entrepreneurship in Chennai-based beverage brand Chai Waale, as well as exploring ventures in the beauty and wellness space.
Nayanthara who was last seen in O2 has a slew of projects in the pipeline including Malayalam film Gold, Telugu film Godfather, Tamil films Connect and an untitled one with debutant Nilesh Krishnaa, an erstwhile assistant of director Shankar.
