Laikey Laikaa: Abhay Verma and Rasha Thadani's movie officially announced | Film to release in 2026

Get ready to fall in love with a new pair as Abhay Verma and Rasha Thadani are all set to share screen space for the first time in the upcoming movie, Laikey Laikaa. A few days ago, a report claimed that they are doing a film together, and today, June 11, the film has been officially announced along with a goofy video of the lead actors. 

Laikey Laikaa announced

On June 11, Phantom Studios announced the new film, Laikey Laikaa, featuring Rasha Thadani and Abhay Verma. The new pair is expected to win the hearts of the audience with their on-screen chemistry. Announcing the film, the makers also shared a video featuring Rasha and Abhay, where they are introducing the film and asking the viewers to get ready. In the video, both of them look promising with their expressions. The film will be released in theaters in Summer 2026. 

Sharing the video, the makers captioned it, "She’s the chaos. He’s the calm. Or is it the other way around? Get ready for #LaikeyLaikaa in theatres, Summer 2026!" By the caption, the film is expected to be a romantic-action film.

About Laikey Laikaa

According to a report by ETimes, the film will be directed by Saurabh Gupta, and it is a new-age action drama. As per the report, the film is based on a twisting action story set in a contemporary backdrop. While specific story details are being kept under wraps, the duo has already created excitement.

Abhay Verma and Rasha Thadani's work front

Abhay Verma rose to fame in The Family Man and then won hearts with his outstanding performance in Maddock Films' horror-comedy Munjya opposite Sharvari Wagh. It was a box-office hit. 

Munjya tells the story of a vengeful soul, born after a tragic death in 1952, who stalks a young man in present-day Pune. The soul demands that he arrange his marriage to the woman the soul loves. The film explores themes of family, generational trauma, and healing, mixing comedy with horror.

Apart from this, Abhay reportedly will be seen in Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's film, King. The film also stars Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and others. He is also reportedly set to co-star with Shanaya Kapoor in an upcoming romantic film directed by Shujaat Saudagar.

Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon's daughter, Rasha, recently made her Bollywood debut with Azaad. Also starring Ajay Devgn and Aaman Devgan, the film underperformed at the box office. However, Rasha's steps on the item number, Uyi Amma, received praise from celebrities and fans on social media.
