After having a successful career in television with shows like Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?, Savitri and Woh Apna Sa to name a few, actress Ridhi Dogra really became the talk of the town with her performance in the web series Asur. The show released in March 2020 just a week before the COVID pandemic hit the world.

Since then, every project the actress appeared in, be it The Married Woman or the very recently released web series TVF Pitchers, Ridhi has become a favorite for the OTT audience as well. Her character Astha and especially Ridhi’s on-screen chemistry with Monica Dogra in The Married Woman was very appreciated.

As her first Hindi film titled Lakadbaggha is about to release, the actress says her success and timing to bag more projects based on that, always faced weird moments.

Taking the reference to her earlier success, Ridhi said, “I think there is something between timing and my success. When my performance was appreciated by the audience and I was receiving so many messages on my social media for Asur, within a week, the nation went into a lockdown. So, the entire situation changed and it was not in my focus on how I will bag more projects just after that based on the success. A weird timing that was. After that, my next project was hugely appreciated and I got a lot of love for The Married Woman, which released in March of last year. Again, just after the release of the web series, the country went into another lockdown. Everyone was in a bad space if we could remember that time. My work has been very well received but my timing of things were a little off. But I think I take things with a sense of humour; it is ok."

"I am hoping now that I will be able to make something out of the love I have got from people. Hopefully, I will take it to the higher level," she added.

The film Lakadbaggha is directed by Victor Banerjee and it is starring Anshuman Jha, Milind Soman and Paresh Pahuja in pivotal roles.

The film is all set to release on January 13 in theatres.
