The makers of Lakadbaggha, a film about a vigilante animal lover, has just unveiled its trailer. The Victor Mukherjee-directed action-thriller, which features Anshuman Jha, Ridhi Dogra, Milind Soman, and Paresh Pahuja in lead roles, is set for worldwide release on January 13, 2023.

Lakadbaggha has a soul and a goal while yet packing a punch with its raw hand-to-hand combat action and martial arts. Arjun, the movie's main character, is an unusual hero who learns from his father from an early age to stand up for those who don't have a voice, aka the animals.

Ridhi Dogra makes her big-screen debut in the movie, which also features a strong international cast (French DOP Jean Marc Selva, Belgian Composer Simon Fransquet, and Action by the Ong-Bak team of Ketcha Khamphakdee). The movie also features Milind Soman and Paresh Pahuja in pivotal roles and marks the debut of Eksha Kerung, a real-life police officer and professional boxer from Sikkim.

The plot centres on a vigilante in Kolkata who discovers the illegal animal trade business at Kolkata Port while looking for his lost indie dog named Shonku. The animal trading kingpin and the animal activist vigilante start fighting. This film introduces action from "Krav-Maga" (Israeli Martial Arts Form) in a raw manner to India.

First Ray Films, whose most recent release was the LGBTQ+-themed movie Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele, is the film's producer. They have another timely movie on their schedule with Lakadbaggha. The movie is scheduled to open in theatres on January 13, 2023. Interestingly, it will clash with Arjun Kapoor and Tabu's multi-starrer, titled Kuttey.
