Lakme Fashion Week: Days after heart attack, Sushmita Sen struts down the runway in style

Sushmita Sen walked the runway at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week on Saturday, her first public outing since her heart attack. The former Miss Universe pageant winner's Instagram account hailed the designer for "this memorable walk back to life" while posting a video of her show-stopping ramp walk for Anushree Reddy.

When Sushmita tweeted the Lakme Fashion Week update, her fans have showered the 47-year-old starlet with a heart-melting downpour of support.

Sushmita was dressed in a classic Indian lehenga, which comprises of a lavishly decorated choli (blouse) and matching lehenga, as well as a net dupatta slung over her shoulders. With silhouette earrings, a necklace, and a few rings, she completed the look. The actress hit the runway in a pair of heels, a dainty bindi and dewy makeup to complete her look. Sushmita's final glam picks included centre-parted open wavy hair, on-trend brows, a light lip colour, flushed cheekbones, a dewy base, smokey eye shadow, and mascara-coated lashes.

Sushmita Sen had a heart attack a few days ago and was taken to Mumbai's Nanavati hospital for an angioplasty and stent implantation. In a social media post on March 2, Sushmita had announced that she had suffered a heart attack. "Angioplasty done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed I do have a big heart,” the diva shared.
