Lal Salaam had a very poor release in Telugu states. As the collections are shockingly low, the Rajinikanth starrer has been removed from several screens in just two days.
Lal Salaam is a film that has some big names like Rajinikanth, and Vishnu Vishal in lead roles. Aishwarya Rajinikanth directed this film which hit the screens on February 9, 2024, and is a hard-hitting social drama. From day one, the film had zero buzz and there were no takers for the film despite it having a big name like Rajinikanth.
Well, the sad part is that even the first-day first show of the film was canceled in many areas in Telugu states as no one turned up to watch the film. Things have on gone even worse now as Lal Salaam has been removed from several theatres already in Telugu states.
Already, the social drama had a very low-key release in Telugu states and upon this, the disaster talk on day one even hampered the film's outcome. The worst part is that Lal Salaam did not even collect anything in a few areas as no one watched the film. This is the first time that such a thing has happened for a Rajini film in Telugu states.
After the first two shows, the film was out of several theatres. Lal Salaam was ignored big time in Telugu and not even a single press interaction happened. Not many even knew such a film had come out in the first place. The dubbing rights to the film have also been sold for a very low price.
On the other hand, the collections in Tamil are also quite dull for this film. Rajinikanth has a massive fan following in Telugu but that is not helping the film one bit. Despite having a big banner like Lyca Productions producing Lal Salaam, it has been neglected totally.
Vikrant played a key role in this film which had music by A R Rahman. Even his music is not working these days and we need to see how much the film will make in the days to come. Looking at the way, the film is faring, it will be out of theatres once the weekdays start.
