Lal Salaam team wishes director Aishwarya Rajinikanth on her birthday; releases a special making video

Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth is now set to make a comeback to filmmaking after a long gap of over 7 years. The filmmaker’s next outing Lal Salaam, which stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles and superstar Rajinikanth in a special appearance, is now gearing up for its theatrical release. The makers of Lal Salaam dropped a making video of the film on social media, on the special occasion of director Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s 42nd birthday.

Team Lal Salaam took to the official social media handle of Lyca Productions and wished director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who is celebrating her 42nd birthday today (January 1, 2024). “Team LAL SALAAM extends heartfelt birthday wishes to our beloved director, @aishwaryarajini... May you have a blockbuster year ahead with lots of joy and success!” reads the social media post of the production banner.

In the new making video of Lal Salaam, the dedicated filmmaker is seen handling the massive cast and crew of the film with absolute ease and giving instructions to her actors and technicians. It is truly heartwarming to see Aishwarya narrating the scenes to her father Rajinikanth, while the superstar carefully listens to her like a true professional. She is also seen having a fun time working with the rest of the crew, including Vishnu Vishal, Senthil, Thambi Ramaiah, and legendary cricketer Kapil Dev who is playing a special role in the film.

Lal Salaam - All you need to know

The sports drama was originally slated to hit the big screens by the second week of January 2024, as a Pongal special release. However, the release is now postponed due to undisclosed reasons, and the new release date is yet to be revealed.

Rajinikanth is playing the role of Moideen Bhai in the movie, which features Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal in the lead roles. Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Nirosha, Vivek Prasanna, Dhanya Balakrishna, and others will be seen in supporting roles.  AR Rahman has composed the songs and the original score for the project. Lal Salaam is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
