Vishnu Vishal, who is all set to be seen next in the sports drama, Lal Salaam, has wrapped the shoot for his portions. Calling the journey an overwhelming one, he said that he was emotional as well. Dropping a series of pictures with his wife, Jwala Gutta and he cutting a cake, Vishnu wrote, "And its a wrap for me for #LalSalaam What a journey this has been…Emotional and overwhelmed..Learnt so much..Thanks to my director @ash_rajinikanth and @LycaProductions for this memorable journey (sic)."

Vishnu Vishal has been sharing pictures from the set time and again on his social media handle. Vishnu had earlier shared a post about the film's director Aishwarya Rajinikanth and was all in praise for her. He wrote, "A beautiful road leads to a beautiful journey and a wonderful destination #LalSalaam Thankss to my director @ash_rajinikanth for making this as one of my most memorable journeys….She is in full control :) (sic)."

Lal Salaam is billed as a sports drama, which revolves around cricket, and Vishnu is said to be playing a cricketer in the film. He will be sharing screen space with Vikranth. Interestingly, both Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth play for the Chennai Rhinos in the Celebrity Cricket League and are avid cricketers in real life, too.

Superstar Rajinikanth will be making a cameo appearance in the film and his character was earlier revealed to be that of Moideen Bhai. The team had earlier released a poster in which the Jailer actor is strutting in style wearing a bandhgala sherwani and cap even as riots happen in the background. Rajinikanth's portions are set in Mumbai. Newspaper clippings also announce many headlines including the mention of the Aldershot riots that took place in 1945. While music for the film is by AR Rahman, the film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
