Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore returned for more drama, rivalry and power struggle in Landman Season 2. While Billy was already one of the leads in Season 1, Demi gets a bigger role in Season 2 as her character's husband, Monty Miller died in the first part. The first episode, titled 'Death and a Sunset', shows some major developments with Tommy Norris becoming the new president of M-Tex Oil, after the death of Monty Miller. Meanwhile, Monty's widow, Cami Miller, has taken over M-Tex Oil and Tommy's son Cooper is trying his own luck with his individual oil business in the land of Texas.
Tommy Norris gains more responsibilities of the oil workers as he's now the president. It's a tough time for him to prove his loyalty and his abilities. On the other hand, M-Tex Oil is on the verge of collapse as sharks are eyeing the company, making Tommy Norris and Cami Miller join hands to fight back.
