LOL: Enga Siri Paappom, an upcoming comedy show, is one of the final projects that Vivek, the late actor, Padmi Shri award winner and comedian, worked in. The Tamil actor along with Tamizh Padam’s Shiva had hosted the pre-recorded show in which they will be seen judging 10 comedians to make sure that they do not end up laughing at each other’s jokes.
The entertaining bunch comprises Maya S Krishnan, Abhisek Kumar, Premgi, Harathi Ganesh, RJ Vignesh Kanth, Sathish, Pugazh, Powerstar Srinivasan, Baggy (Bhargav Ramakrishnan) and Syama Harini. The show is meant to make the audience laugh, while the players have to maintain a straight face. The last one standing will walk away with a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh.
The gang is a mix of stand-up comedians like Abishek and Baggy and actors like Premi and Powerstar Srinivasan who have joined together on screen to tickle the audiences' funny bone.
A glimpse of how exactly the show would go down and the level of immense comedy was given to us by Amazon Prime, on social media.
The Hindi version of the show LOL: Hasse Toh Phasse was hosted by Boman Irani and Arshad Warsi and it premiered in April this year on Amazon Prime Video.
LOL: Enga Siri Paappom was filmed before the unfortunate demise of Vivek and it will be released posthumously on August 27 on Amazon Prime. It will be an unscripted comedy show where the artistes will be pulling out their big guns to achieve their main goal - make their competitors laugh.
