A laugh riot with the hostel boys or an emotional ride with Darling Krishna? What's your pick this week?

Kannada films may not be high up on the list for streaming platforms, but they are slowly and steadily making their presence felt in the OTT space. While a majority of films get a digital release only after a theatrical outing, last year, four films came directly on OTT, namely, One Cut Two Cut and Family Pack, Man of the Match and Dear Vikram. This year, Archana Jois' #Mute got a direct OTT outing and while Jaggesh's Raghavendra Stores was expected to be next in line on Amazon Prime Video, it was given a theatrical outing, after all. Recently, Vijay Raghavendra's film Saaviri skipped a theatrical and came on Youtube.
The buzz in industry circles is that OTT platforms have gone back to the old ways of not picking films for direct release and insist on a theatrical outing, however minimal it is.
Here’s a look at the most recent Kannada film additions to OTT platforms.
