It's the Valentine's Day week and while the Kannada releases heading to theatres are not all romantic comedies, there is no dearth of them. This week too, there are at least 8-9 Kannada originals set for release, amid big-ticket films from other languages, which would mean that getting enough screens/shows, will be a tough challenge for each of them. A much awaited superstar-led film is coming to OTT, as is a biopic of a Karnataka based entrepreneur.
Bhuvanam Gaganam, according to the official synopsis, is a heartwarming family film exploring intricacies of love, friendship, and relationships. The story intricately intertwines the lives of its characters, including highs and lows. At its core, the narrative focuses on two central characters, Abhi and Ram, whose journey drives the film's emotional depth. Pramod and Pruthvi Ambaar play the lead characters in the film.

Director Vijaya Prasad brings Yogi back to play Sidlingu, in a tale that will look at what's become of his life since the events of the original. The filmmaker has chosen not to reveal a trailer prior to the release, but has assured that it does not include adult comedy like his other films, Neer Dose, Petromax or Thothapuri. This time, he pairs Yogi with Sonu Gowda.

Kiccha Sudeep's much-awaited thriller Max, has got its OTT release date, after weeks of speculation about the OTT partner and a possible streaming announcment, given that at one point it seemed as if TV audiences would have access to it first. But turns out that the network that picked up both the satellite and digital rights is taking the film live on TV and other gadgets for broadcast and streaming on the same day and time.

The biopic of transport and media baron, VRL founder, Vijay Sankeshwar, which released more than two years ago, is finally coming to OTT. Directed by Rishika Sharma, the film has Nihal Rajput in the role of Vijay Sankeshwar and details his incredible journey from owning one truck to a major fleet of passenger and goods vehicles. The film has an ensemble cast including V Ravichandran, Shine Shetty, Anant Nag, Bharath Bopanna, among others.

Unni Mukundan’s ultra-violent hit Malayalam film, in which he reprises his character Marco from Michael, is a spin-off story, focusing on the Adattu family and a tragedy that befalls them. How one of the family members, Marco, chooses to avenge them forms the crux of the tale. Directed by Haneef Adani, the film also stars Siddique, Jagadish, Kabir Duhan Singh, Abhimanyu Shammi Thilakan, etc. A Kannada version hit theatres on January 31, more than a month after the original came out, but did not do well, as the OTT release had been announced by then.
