There is no dearth of Kannada films in theatres this week as well, but the question that remains is as to how many screens/shows each of them will get eventually. The problem of aplenty continues to be an issue for Sandalwood, what with 6-7 films set to release on February 21. This is in a week when Sundeep Kishan's Telugu film Mazaka and the Dhanush directorial Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, are also in theatres.

Vishnu Priya

Director VK Prakash presents Vishnu Priya, a 90s love story following Vishnu (Shreyas K Manju) and Priya (Priya Prakash Varrier), where trust is the cornerstone of love and relationships. The film explores the hurdles of misunderstandings, the strength of friendship, and the deep connections within family. A Gopi Sundar musical, the film promises to be a perfect family entertainer.

Nimagondu Sihi Suddi

Writer-director-actor Raghu Bhat tells a story of a young man, Arjun, and the mystery behind a baby in his house and a scar on his body, that looks like that of a caesarean section. As if that is not bad enough, Arjun also can’t recollect incidents from his life in the near past. What really happened to Arjun? The film also stars Kavya Shetty, Vijay Raghavendra, Harini Sreekanth, Sujay Shastry, among others.

Olavina Payana

Olavina Payana, starring Sunil Kumar in the lead, is a touching love story about a village boy who falls in love with a wealthy girl. After proving himself by overcoming her father’s challenge, fate takes an unexpected twist, testing both his love and determination like never before. Directed by Kishan Balnad, the film pairs Sunil with Khushi PS.

Bhaava Theera Yaana

Director duo Mayur Ambekallu and Thejas Kiran present a tale of sacrifice and longing, shaped by love’s trials and the shifting seasons. Do the things we desire also yearn for us in return? And when the truth is revealed, does it stand the test of time, or does it fade? A deeply moving story of love in its truest, most profound form. The film has Thejas in front of the camera as well, along with Ramesh Bhat, Vidya Murthy, Chandana Ananthakrishna, Anoosha Krishna, Arohi Naina, etc.

Vrushabha

Navami 9-9-1999

This psychological horror film, directed by Pavan Narayan, is inspired by true events in Tumkur Village, and follows a family that buys a property, only to face eerie and unnatural occurrences. As terror unfolds, what ensues is a a gripping battle for survival. Veteran actors S Narayan and Om Prakash Rao star in the film, along with Yashas Abhi, Kuri Sunil, Huccha Venkat and Nandini Gowda.

Daaku Maharaaj

Director Bobby Kolli's hit Telugu film, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead as the title character, a man with a mysterious past, pretending to be a driver for an influential family, to protect a little girl, is heading to OTT. The film will be available with Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi audio options too.
