The big release this week could be the Ajith starrer Vidaamuyarchi, which is not getting a Kannada dubbed version and competing with it for screens and shows are at least 7 original Kannada films in different genres. There are a couple of investigative thrillers, romantic comedies, a gangster flick, among others, with actors like Kishore, Rajvardhan, Dharma Kirthiraj, Roopesh Shetty, etc., in the lead.

Kishore and Harshil Koushik are in the lead in this investigative thriller that follows the death of a prominent lawyer. Kishore plays a journalist, the last person to have seen the lawyer alive, while Harshil is the cop who has to figure out if the former is the perpetrator, a victim being framed for a crime he didn’t do or a witness to the murder.

Milind and Rachel are joined by Bhoomi Shetty, Avinash, Ramesh Bhat and Sadhu Kokila, among others on the cast.

Talvar

Dharma Kirthiraj features in this story of rowdyism and love, centred around a notorious contract killer, who is one of the city`s most wanted criminals. As he takes on one final deal, his life is turned upside down, leading him to a powerful realization about the value of life and his path to redemption. Jayaram Karthik is the antagonist, while Aditi Rao is the leading lady of Talvar.
