This week at the Kannada box office has an interesting mix of films. From a festival darling to horror, romantic drama, comedy and more, there is something for everyone in theatres. On OTT, though, the big releases are all from other languages, which will have Kannada audio options as well.
Director Sumanth Bhat’s debut, Mithya, which had a very fruitful festival run, is coming to theatres. Produced by Rakshit Shetty, the film follows an 11-year-old-boy, as he grapples with the loss of his parents, displacement from the place he’s always known as home, and then faces a custody battle between his father and mother’s family.

It follows 2 narratives, one following Priya (Sukrutha Wagle), who is experiencing weird stuff around her, while the other is about two youngsters, who use the anonymity that the internet provides to amass a fortune.

Ajith and Trisha play a couple of the verge of divorce, whose last trip together sends him on the war path, after she goes missing. The Tamil original film is the unofficial remake of Breakdown and is available with Kannada audio as well.

Asif Ali is in cop mode yet again in this Malayalam thriller, in which he decides to pursue a 40-year-old cold case, after a dying man’s social media confession about a crime that he committed decades ago. The film also stars Anaswara Rajan, Siddique, Indrans, Harishree Ashokan, Saikumar, Manoj K Jayan, among others. Kannada audio will be available.

Nagachaitanya and Sai Pallavi unite in this love story, in which he plays a fisherman who accidentally strays into Pakistani waters and is captured. Is this the end of the road for their love story, or will they overcome the hurdles and have a happyily-ever-after? The Chandoo Mondeti directorial will stream with Kannada audio as well.
