Maryade Prashne

Maryade Prashne is the maiden feature film presentation from RJ Pradeepa’s Sakkath Studio. Directed by Nagaraj Somayaji, the film is a slice-of-life story set in the lower-middle-class neighborhood of Chamrajpete in Bengaluru. It centers on three close friends, Suri, Manja, and Sathish, whose lives are tragically altered during what should have been a joyful birthday celebration. The film stars Rakesh Adiga, Suneel Raoh, Shine Shetty, Teju Belawadi, Prabhu Mundkur, Poorna Mysore, and Rekha Kudligi, among others.

Aaram Aravinda Swamy

Actor-director Abhishek Shetty’s film revolves around the title character Aravinda, who is dealing with a fair share of struggle, which those around him fail to acknowledge. Martin

Dhruva Sarja’s Martin which was universally panned by audiences and critics across the country, made its OTT debut, albeit for UK and US audiences only. Normally, when the streamer does a staggered release, with overseas first and then India, a film is expected to be available a week later. As such, Martin is likely to begin streaming in India on or before November 22. The film is currently in the store for rental only, and it remains to be seen if that’s how it drops in India too.

Kishkindha Kaandam

The Malayalam original thriller led by Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, and Vijayaraghavan, was the Onam hit of the year. The Dinjith Ayyathan directorial borrows its title from the Ramayana but has no other mythological connection. The story, though, is set in a protected forest that’s densely monkey-populated. Kishkindha Kaandam will stream in Kannada also.

Sriimurali in and as Bagheera

Bagheera

Roaring Star Sriimurali's superhero origin story Bagheera had the privilege of a streaming partner on board prior to its theatrical release. Even better was the fact that the makers got a Kannada film on to a platform that had shunned the industry for the longest. The film, Kannada cinema's answer to Batman, had Sriimurali as a cop turned vigilante and will stream with versions in kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Tulu.

Streaming on: Netflix
Streaming date: November 21
