It’s a relatively dull weak for Kannada cinema both at the box office and on OTT. There are a few Kannada films in theatres this week, but none are star-backed. Take your pick from a fantasy thriller, romantic drama and social drama, in theatres, while the sole OTT release as of now, has Pruthvi Ambaar as a cop. There aren’t any major Kannada-dubbed titles in theatres or OTT this week.
Director Avinash M’s film is a fantasy thriller starring Anu Prabhakar, Harshika Poonacha, C Venu, Avinash, Sudha Belawadi, among others. The film follows a deadly battle between two supernatural forces; the mystery behind elderly women passing away, and more.

Prateek and Moulya Shree lead this romantic drama about two youngsters with the baggage of failed relationships, whose paths cross. Bigg Boss Kannada 10 winner Karthik Mahesh is also on the cast, as also are Ashwin Pallakki, Ramesh Bhat, PD Sathish Chandra, among others.

Born into an orthodox purohit family, Theertha (Akash Rambo), is forced to compulsorily wear the traditional Langoti (underwear), for which he is ridiculed by his peers. The film by director Sanjotha explores Theertha’s desire to ditch the traditional for more fashionable and modern underwear, while also fulfilling cultural obligations.
