Latest Kannada OTT releases (January 5 to January 11, 2026) Here is the list of what you can stream on various digital platforms or watch in theatres this week.

It’s a big week at the box office, what with the Sankranti/Pongal releases from Tamil and Telugu flooding the market. For instance, there’s Thalapathy Vijay’s swan song Jana Nayagan, Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi from Tamil, and Prabhas’ long overdue horror comedy, The Raja Saab in Telugu. The Raja Saab is the only one listed with a possible Kannada dubbed version also hitting theatres, and with Kiccha Sudeep’s nephew Sanchith Sanjeev’s Mango Pachcha rumoured to be moving out of the Sankranti race (it’s listed for January 15), the next theatrical releases in Sandalwood will be in the week of January 23, only, with Duniya Vijay’s Landlord and Zaid Khan’s Cult.
On OTT, however, it’s a different story, with a mix of relatively newer and old titles heading audience’s way. There are multiple Kannada original movies, and the re-release of a web series, as well as the dubbed version of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s last film.

ON OTT
Radheyaa
Krishna Ajai Rao’s career had a revival of sorts in early 2025, with his production Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2 garnering positive reviews and drawing crowds. His follow up, though, did not get such a welcome. The psychological crime drama Radheyaa, written and directed by Vedaguru, hit theatres on November 21, 2025 as one of 6 Kannada releases and failed to make a mark.
The film, which also starred Sonal Monteiro, Dhanya Balakrishnan, Aravind Rao, Giri Shivanna, among others, had Ajai as the title character, Radheyaa, a serial killer.

Udaala
Prithvi Shamanur’s latest collaboration with Yogaraj Bhat, Udaala was directed by an associate of the filmmaker, Amol Patil. Released in theatres on November 14, the film set in North Karnataka, follows a young auto-rikshaw driver, who joins college again after falling in love. The on-campus conflicts and personal struggles he encounters in this pursuit of romance forms the crux of the story. Also starring Hrithika Srinivas, Bala Rajwadi, Malu Nipnal, Harish Hiriyur, among others.

Ekam
A year and a half ago, the 7-episode Kannada web series Ekam had failed to interest mainstream streaming platforms, despite actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty listed as producer, while the cast included the likes of Prakash Raj, Raj B Shetty, Shine Shetty, Mansi Sudhir, among others. The team was eventually forced to release the show on a platform built for the same with transactional video on demand access at Rs 175. Now, the show is finally coming to a mainstream platform.

Ronny
Kannadathi fame actor Kiran Raj’s 2024 release Ronny The Ruler was reported to be OTT bound since last November, but the streamer pushed the release ahead. The film follows Kiran’s character Raghava, an aspiring actor, whose dreams shatter when he has a run-in with the son of a local gangster, with the latter dying as a result. How Raghava then goes on to become a ruthless gangster is what the film is about.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s sequel to his successful 2021 Akhanda, Akhanda 2 Thaandavam, had him in dual roles yet again. The Boyapati Sreenu directorial, though, did not find favour with audiences this time around, and opened to mixed reviews. The Telugu original also starred Samyukta Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu, Kabir Duhan Singh, among many others, but failed to recover costs at the box office. The film is headed to OTT with Kannada audio as well.
