June is going to be a huge month for K-Dramas, and it already looks good with revenge-dramas on the platter. As the month prepares us for Squid Game 3, revenge-dramas take centre stage this week (well, mostly). Right from Mercy for None, where a former gangster goes to lengths for his family, to a journalist who is in the middle of a battle holding dirty secrets, this world takes an interesting turn this week. You might really not be ready for this, but the dramas await.

Latest Korean OTT and theatrical releases to watch from May 25, to June 1, 2025

Mercy For None

What would you think about a revenge-drama that starts with a criminal targetting the family? Mercy For None is exactly one of those! Nam Gi-jun (So Ji-sub from My Secret Terrius) wants to avenge his brother Gi Seok (Choo Young-woo). He is an ex-gangster who worked under Bongsan Gang led by Koo Bong-san (Huh Joon-ho). Things get complicated as the truth unfolds. All we know is, there's going to be mercy for none at all!

Echoes of Gwangju

Who doesn't remember the Gwangju Uprising of 1980? Echoes of Gwangju is the story of a young journalist from that period who holds the state secrets. Starring Kim Hye-soo, this is a K-Drama that could stir up a lot of chaos. It is a make-or-break project, and the hopes sure are up.

If you wish for a blend of comedy with history, Hwarang on OTTplay Premium should be your pick today!

Also starring Kim So-hyun (The Emperor), Oh Jung-se, Heo Sung-tae and Tae Won-seok, Good Boy is a comic-action drama about young athletes. Two episodes of the drama where the athletes train to become police officers through the special recruitment program is out, and it is already winning over the internet!
