1Up 

Releasing on Lionsgate Play on July 7, 1Up is a comedy film, starring Ruby Rose, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Paris Berelc and Hari Nef. Written by Julia Yorks and directed by Kyle Newman, the plot revolves around video game enthusiast Vivian, whose gaming skills get her enlisted for a college scholarship. Stoked about it, she learns about a competition against the male-dominated team. Tired of women being undermined in the esports world, Vivian recruits a group of professional girl-gamers to prove once and for all, that she can do it all.   

High Heat 

Directed by Zach Golden, this spy thriller film stars Olga Kurylenko and Don Johnson. High Heat will start streaming on Lionsgate Play from July 14. The movie follows an ex-KGB operative turned chef whose restaurant is burned down by the local mafia. Deciding to take on the bad guys themselves, Ana and her husband jump in guns blazing and learn they have a lot more in common than they thought.   

Black Lotus 

Starring Frank Grillo, Rico Verhoeven, Marie Dompnier and Peter Franzén, this actioner is directed by Todor Chapkanov. The plot revolves around an ex-soldier, who finds himself caught in a sticky situation when he learns that his late friend’s daughter has been kidnapped. Embarking on a mission to rescue her from the clutches of a criminal underboss, he doesn’t know if he will succeed. Black Lotus will start streaming on Lionsgate Play from July 21.

Wrath Of Man 

Releasing on Lionsgate Play on July 14, Wrath of Man will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bhojpuri. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the heist action thriller film features Jason Statham, Scott Eastwood, Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonso and Paul Eagle in key roles, among others. Centred on a cash truck driver, the film showcases the extent a father can go to for his son.

The Promise 

Directed by Sophon Sakdaphisit, The Promise is a Thai horror film, with Namthip Jongrachatawiboon and Apichaya Thongkham playing the pivotal characters. It’s the story about a friendship that started with a vow to end their lives together, which results in Boum leaving Ib alone as she commits suicide. 15 years later, when Boum’s daughter is all grown up, Ib comes back to take her revenge. The film will start streaming on Lionsgate Play from July 28.
