Paranthu Po – JioHostar (August 5)

Paranthu Po is a slice-of-life musical comedy film starring actors Shiva, Grace Antony, Master Mithul Ryan and others. The film is written and directed by filmmaker Ram in his first collaboration with Shiva. Paranthu Po is essentially a road-trip drama about a father and son as they take off away from the bustling nature of city. The film explores the simple joys of life, and the perspectives of people they meet on their way. Aju Varghese, Anjali, and Vijay Yesudas also part of the cast.

Maaman – ZEE5 (August 8)

Maaman is a family drama starring actor-comedian Soori in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Prasanth Pandiraj, and features Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead. Maaman is about an overtly attached relationship between a man and his nephew, spiralling into unwanted problems. Apart from Soori, it features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rajkiran, Swasika, Baba Baskar, and Master. Prageeth Sivan, Bala Saravanan, Jaya Prakash, Viji Chandrasekar, Geetha Kailasam, Chaya Devi, Nikhila Sankar, Kalaivani Bhaskar, Melvin, Trichy Ananthi, Savithri, Saratha, Tamilselvi, Rail Ravi, Umesh Kanth.

Maayakoothu – SunNXT (August 8)

Mayakoothu is hyperlink crime fantasy film directed by AR Raghavendra. The film stars Nagarajan Kannan, Delhi Ganesh, Sai Dheena, and others. Mayakoothu is about a writer who gets to face the characters that he is creating through his creative works. The film opened to good reviews upon its release even if it had a limited theatrical run.
