Latest Tamil OTT releases (October 5- October 11) to watch on Prime Video, JioHotstar, Netflix, Sony LIV, theatres and more

With some big theatrical releases in the last week, and Diwali in the next couple of weeks, big screens will not be seeing any new releases in the coming few days. However, that does not mean this week will not have any new releases. There are some exciting titles that will be out on streaming platforms, and here are some of them:

Bigg Boss Tamil season 9 – JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium

The ninth season is set to kickstart with the launch episode to be aired on October 5. Subsequently, the show will be airing every day, with host Vijay Sethupathi set to appear during the weekend episodes as per the show’s format. The upcoming season is expected to be exciting with new challenges, rules and house theme.

Veduvan – ZEE5 via OTTplay Premium

Veduvan is a Tamil web series starring Kanna Ravi in the lead role. Actors Sanjeev Venkat, Sravnitha Srikanth, Ramya Ramakrishna, and Rekha Nair are also part of it. Written and directed by Pavan, Veduvan is about a struggling actor who is cast in the biopic of an encounter specialist. To prepare for the role, he begins to understand that the encounter specialist's life is filled with secrets, high-stakes missions, and impossible choices.

Rambo – SunNXT via OTTplay Premium

Rambo is an upcoming sports drama featuring actor Arulnithi in the lead role. It is helmed by filmmaker Muthaiya and will be skipping theatrical release. Actors Tanya Ravichandran, VTV Ganesh, and Abhirami play important roles in the film. Arulnithi is expected to play a boxer in the film.

Mirai – JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium

The recently released Telugu superhero film Mirai will stream in Tamil soon. Headlined by Teja Sajja, Mirai is written and directed by Karthik Gattamneni. It revolves around a pickpocket who realises that he is destined to be the protector of nine sacred scriptures and must prevent an evil force from conquering them. Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu and Jayaram are part of the film.
