Tamil-Telugu star Vishal was in Bengaluru today to promote his upcoming film Laththi. The film, he says, is the story of a police constable and is about the extends he will go to ensure the safety of his family. “This is the story of a common man becoming a hero to fight for his family’s safety,” he said. The highlight of the film, of course, are the action sequences, which Vishal says will be in a different dimension. “I have worked with Peter Hein master on the stunts of Laththi. Working with him is not only an honour but quite an experience. This was our first collaboration after nearly 18 years and the action sequences are so intense that my big worry now is how I will live up to the standards he has set with this film in my upcoming projects,” says the actor, adding, “When we were shooting the action sequences, we were in Hyderabad for four months at a stretch. I don’t think Hein has ever given that many dates to any film. Audiences will be pleasantly surprised with the presentation of the action blocks in the film. I am quite confident that the action in Laththi will be spoken about when the film hits theatres.”

When director Vinod came to narrate the story of Laththi to Vishal, the actor says that the filmmaker was not sure what he would make of it. The protagonist, beside being a police constable, was also the father of a seven-year-old child. “Vinod wasn’t sure if I would be okay with playing father, but I told him to go ahead and narrate the story. As I was listening, I felt myself literally on the edge of my seat; it was so thrilling and engrossing. My first instinct was that audiences are also likely to feel the same,” adds Vishal.
