From voicing over in the Hindi version of both Baahubali movies to his notable role in Bhansali’s Ram-Leela, from his stellar performance in Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero to his critically acclaimed portrayal of a transgender in Laxmii, actor Sharad Kelkar is on a roll now.
In an interview with Spotboye.com, he divulged fresh news about his upcoming movie, a science-fiction. “It’s a very tricky film and there is a lot of detailing that needs to be done. So, I am still sitting with the writers and director. I don’t want any loophole to remain in it. It has to be logically correct,” he said.
Further he revealed that the screenplay is under works, with the makers being engineers lending a clear vision. It is scheduled to be shot abroad and will go on floors by September-October, as per plan. However, due to the pandemic, many countries are not open for shooting, and those which are open, are not suitable locations, the actor added.
He expressed how the central subject of the film involves a different phenomenon, which has never been attempted before. “I can guarantee that it won’t be a typical funny Bollywood time travel or science fiction film. It will be an international standard science fiction film with a lot of VFX,” he assured.
Sharad is currently working on Déjà Vu, Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Jersey and also has Bhuj: The Pride of India and a Tamil film called Ayalaan, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh, gearing up for release.
