Leave The World Behind Teaser: Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke's sci-fi thriller talks about an inevitable apocalypse

Leave the World Behind is an upcoming sci-fi thriller film starring Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke in pivotal roles. Written, directed and produced by Sam Esmail, the Netflix flick also has Mahershala Ali and Myha'la Herrold in key roles. The makers have unveiled an official teaser video that seems gripping and intriguing.

The latest teaser begins by introducing Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke as a couple vacationing peacefully on the outskirts of the main city. A man and a woman suddenly arrive at their doorstep and inform them about an inevitable apocalypse that is set to occur in the future due to several cyber attacks. He also reveals that with the technology advancements, seeing the future has also become possible.

All about Leave the World Behind

Sam Esmail directorial follows the tale of a couple, who arrive at the residence of two strangers and seek refuge to save themselves from a cyberattack, which growing by the minute and is impossible to stop. Based on a novel of the same name by Rumaan Alam, the forthcoming flick is bankrolled by Sam Esmail, Chad Hamilton, Julia Roberts, Lisa Gillan and Marisa Yeres Gill under Esmail Corp, Higher Ground Productions and Red Om Films. 

Leave the World Behind, which also features Farrah Mackenzie, Charlie Evans, and Kevin Bacon in supporting roles, is slated to have a theatrical release in selected theatres in the month of November and post that it will have an OTT release on December 8 on Netflix.
