After a gap of two years, the makers have finally confirmed Season 3 of Lee Je-hoon’s Taxi Driver. The crime thriller vigilante K-drama was first released in 2021 on Netflix. Later, after Season 2 dropped in 2023, the K-drama was released on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and on Rakuten Viki. The production house, SBS, has now confirmed Season 3 on social media by revealing the star-cast details as well.

Although they did not mention the exact release date, the production house, SBS, revealed that Season 3 of Taxi Driver is coming in the second half of 2025. The makers officially stated, “The new season of the Taxi Driver drama, which has received immense love from viewers, is officially scheduled to air on SBS in the second half of the year.”

The entire ‘Rainbow Taxi Service’ team will be back for Season 3 to continue their fight for justice. Lee Je-hoon will reprise his role as the skilled driver Kim Do-gi, leading the charge for justice. He is joined by actor Kim Eui-sung as the team's steadfast leader, Jang Sung-cheol, and actor Pyo Ye-jin as the brilliant hacker, Ahn Go-eun. The dynamic duo–Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram will also return as the engineers, Choi Kyung-goo, and Park Jin-uhn.

Based on the webtoon, The Taxi Driver, the story of the K-drama revolves around the mysterious Rainbow Taxi Service, which takes on the responsibility of bringing justice to victims who have been let down by the judicial system of the nation. The drama instantly captured the audience’s attention with its unique plot, high-stake action sequences, and highlighting the social issues.

Although the writer, Oh Sang-ho, and the production house did not reveal any further details of Season 3, they did hint that they are retaining those elements that made the first two seasons great.
