Lee Jun-ho's Typhoon Company has a new update - the female lead has been replaced. After Geum Sae-rok's exit from the K-Drama, the makers have replaced her with Panchinko's leading actress Kim Min-ha. That's right, Lee Jun-ho and Kim Min-ha play the lead roles in Fight For My Way director Lee Na Jung's upcoming K-Drama, Typhoon Company.
A popular Korean newspaper Maeil Kyungjae, Kim Min-ha has been roped in as the female lead in Typhoon Company. The K-Drama was originally announced with Geum Sae-rok as the female lead but owing to conflicting schedules, she had to step out of the project. Thus, Kim Min-ha has now taken over the role.
After impressing all in Pachinko, Kim Min-ha is set to step into the world of Oh Mi-seon, who is a bookkeeper of Typhoon Company. Being the eldest daughter of the family, Mi-seon is expected to take care of everything and everyone. She is in charge of cleaning and organizing receipts at Typhoon Company. She aims to build a successful career and finds hope after meetint Kang Tae Poong (Jun-ho). The drama is based on how the two come together to save the company despite the IMF crisis.
After starring in The Red Sleeve and King The Land, Lee Jun-ho will be making his acting comeback with Typhoon Company. For the K-Drama, he takes on the role of young CEO Kang Tae Poong. Being born to a wealthy family, Tae Poong grew up to love Typhoon Company as much as his family. When it was on the verge of collapsing after the 1997 IMF Crisis, he took over as the CEO. The journey sees his growth from an immature boy to a matured man and a 'true adult.' While facing all the hurdles together, he shows warmth, a sense of responsibility, and a mindset to take on challenges.
Typhoon Company is scheduled to release on Netflix in the second half of 2025.
