Legendary actor Murali Mohan to headline a social drama at 80 plus: Title, genre, and release details

Murali Mohan is one of the living legends of Telugu cinema, having acted in over 300 films in his career. Even at the age of 80-plus, he continues to work and has now signed a social drama in which he will play the lead. 

Murali Mohan back to films after a long gap

Titled Supreme Warriors, the project was launched today in Hyderabad. The veteran actor will be seen in a tailor-made role after a long time and is excited to return to a Telugu film in such a prominent capacity. 

Hari Chandan makes his directorial debut with this social drama, produced by Pedapudi Baburao under the Aadi Akshara Entertainments banner. Interestingly, Murali Mohan’s character in the film will have a unique grey shade. The cast also features newcomers, including producer Pedapudi Baburao, who plays a key role. 

Speaking at the launch, Murali Mohan said, “These days, I wasn’t looking to do more films, but when the story was pitched to me as the main lead, I was taken aback and immediately agreed. The social message, drama, and thrills in Supreme Warriors will impress one and all.” 

Murali Mohan's Athadu re-releases in theaters

The veteran actor also made headlines recently when his cult classic Athadu, starring Mahesh Babu and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, was re-released to record collections across the Telugu states. 

Murali Mohan produced Athadu on a massive budget, with Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. Coming back to Supreme Warriors, shooting begins next month, and the makers are planning a wide release in January 2026.
