Iconic music director Bappi Da breathed his last today in Mumbai at the age of 69. The legendary musician left us all following multiple health issues at a hospital in the city.
He started his music career at the edge on 19 and got his fame by the name of Disco King due to his utmost interest in pop music. A lot of musicians from the film fraternity poured in with their tributes to the legend and condolences on the family on social media sites.
Famous composer-singer Vishal Dadlani wrote one of the most emotional notes on Instagram by sharing a picture with the iconic musician. "#BappiDa was more than a legend. He was a friend. He was always kind to Shekhar and me and we shared a mutual respect and admiration," a part of the caption reads. He also mentioned how the year 2022 is hard for him as first of all he lost his father, then the world lost Lata Ji and now Bappi Da.

The world-famous musician A R Rahman also tweeted on the sudden demise of Bappi Lahiri. The caption reads, "#RIPbappida …..Bappi Lahiri, the Disco King of Hindi cinema! (sic)."
Singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan shared the same picture as Dadlani that features the two singers and Himesh Reshammiya with Bappi Da. He wrote a big emotional note in the caption that reads, "This is devastating!! We just had the honor and pleasure of having @bappilahiri_official_ on our set for @saregama_official .. and now he is no more !! Just unbelievable! Will miss you sir prayers for the entire family . (Sic)."
