Bappi Lahiri has died following multiple health issues at the age of 69.

According to a doctor, singer-composer Bappi Lahiri died at a Mumbai hospital, PTI reports. The legendary singer known as the Disco King was 69 years of age. Bappi Lahiri was born in 1952 in Calcutta, West Bengal, into a musical family with a long history. At the age of 19, he began his profession as a music director.
A doctor told the media agency that Lahiri had been in the hospital for a month before being released on Monday. On Tuesday, however, his health began to deteriorate, and his family requested that a doctor come to their home. He was brought to the hospital. He was suffering from a variety of ailments. He died just before midnight from OSA (obstructive sleep apnea).
Bappi Lahiri, India's pioneer of disco beats, had the entire country dancing for decades with his invigorating, lively, and rhythmic music. He was usually credited with being the single inventor of the disco beat in India. Bappi Lahiri was among the most popular music directors in the 1980s because of his well-known compositions for films, namely Disco Dancer, which have left an indelible impression on those who have heard the music.
Bappida was known for his ongoing ambition to reinvent himself and tackle the difficulty of keeping up with current generations' quickly changing preferences.
With his various talents as a singer, music director, and drummer, he was called to be the full entertainer and superstar.
Bappi Lahiri performed duets with Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar in the past. He also collaborated with singers such as Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. Bappi introduced Vijay Benedict and Sharon Prabhakar to the Bollywood music industry. Through his compositions, he also paved the way for Alisha Chinai and Usha Uthup to achieve recognition.
Bappi Lahiri's dominion over the Hindi music business lasted far into the 1990s, when she composed the soundtrack for Mithun Chakraborty's Prakash Mehra-produced film Dalal. The film's theme song, Gutur Gutur, was a great smash.
Bappida married Chitrani Lahiri in 1977 and they had two children, Bappa Lahiri and Rema Lahiri. His grandson is Swastik Bansal.
The legendary musician was also known for his love for gold jewellery, which became his trademark identity.
