Music is the lifeline of any memorable on-screen romance and it's fairly obvious that the minds behind Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde-starrer Most Eligible Bachelor have recognised the same. The romantic entertainer is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and produced by Bunny Vas, Vasu Varma under GA2 Pictures. Gopi Sundar is composing the music for the project. A new melody number from the film, titled Leharaayi, sung by the man of the hour, Sid Sriram, was launched earlier on Wednesday.

Sid Sriram is gradually becoming the Arijit Singh of Telugu cinema and it's hard to imagine any popular Telugu album in recent times that doesn't feature his name. He certainly is a gifted singer and his popularity isn't surprising, to say the least. It's also good to make hay while the sun shines but Sid Sriram's numbers are turning out to be a massive disappointment for his Telugu diction. This is also the case with his latest number Leharaayi, which is a memorable composition, though his pronunciation doesn't do justice to the lyrics and the melody quotient.

Simple, basic words like 'Egiraayi', 'Adhiraayi' go for a toss. It's understandable when a rank newcomer whose native language isn't Telugu gets such aspects wrong but someone with the classical repertoire of Sid Sriram, who has reasonable experience in Telugu cinema could certainly be more alert about it. These issues apart, Leharaayi has all the traits of a haunting melody that will grow on you with time. Sreemani uses simple words with terrific rhythmic value and creates striking visual imagery with lines like 'Vantagadhilo Mantalanni Ontilokey Omputhunte...Mari Ninna Monna Ontiga Unna Eede Nede Leharaayi.'

The lyrical video takes viewers through several aspects of the song's making, featuring the lead pair, director Bommarillu Bhaskar, presenter (star producer) Allu Aravind, singer Sid Sriram, to name a few. Some of the other popular numbers in Most Eligible Bachelor are Guche Gulabi, Ye Zindagi and Manasa Manasa. Cinematographer Pradeesh Varma and veteran editor Marthand K Venkatesh are part of the film's technical crew. Most Eligible Bachelor is set for a theatrical release on October 8. Telugu OTT platform aha has bagged the streaming rights for the same.
