Actor Vijay, who is currently in Chennai, shooting for his upcoming film, Leo, took some time out to meet his fans. The actor is said to have met the members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. The members of the fan club had recently started a free-food providing facility, called Vilai Illa Virundhagam. Actor Vijay, who was impressed by the same, wanted to appreciate the fans for their effort and also encourage them to get involved in more charity-related schemes.
On the film front, the actor is busy with the Chennai schedule of his action entertainer with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Vijay, Sanjay Dutt and Trisha (who was until now busy with the promotions of Ponniyin Selvan 2) are all expected to join the sets soon. Interestingly, Trisha was asked about updates from the Thalapathy film wherever she went during the Chola Tour. The actress had then stated that she was indeed coming from the shoot of Leo and that Lokesh Kanagaraj and Thalapathy Vijay had sent their best wishes.
Leo has an ensemble star cast which includes Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Sandy Master, Mansoor Ali Khan, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, Babu Antony, George Maryan, Janany Kunaseelan, to name a few. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, and editing by Philomin Raj. The dialogues for the film have been penned by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy.
The film marks the comeback of the hit pair Trisha and Vijay after a hiatus of 14 long years. Leo is the second collaboration between Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after their hit film Master. Master emerged as one of the highest grossers of the year. The film starred Vijay Sethupathi as the prime antagonist Bhavani and Vijay as an alcoholic professor named JD. Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Gouri G. Kishan, Mahendran, Azhagam Perumal were also part of the star cast.
