In a surprising turn of events, actor-director Samuthirakani has confirmed that two big names in the Tamil film industry, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Anirudh Ravichander, will be making their acting debut in an upcoming movie.

He took to Twitter to congratulate Lokesh, Anirudh and stunt choreographer duo Anbumani and Arivumani, popularly known as Anbariv. Samuthirakani's tweet comes against the strong buzz about Lokesh and Anirudh making a full-fledged acting debut in the movie that marks the directorial debut of Anbariv. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited.

It's noteworthy that both Lokesh and Anirudh have appeared in movies before but they were all cameos meant for the enjoyment of their fans. But, the said project is said to launch them in full-fledged roles.

Lokesh, Anirudh and Anbariv are regular collaborators. They all worked together on Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan. The movie, which was released last year, went on to create new box office records. It was the biggest hit in Kamal's career spanning nearly six decades. And they are also working together on the upcoming movie Leo.

Written and directed by Lokesh, Leo stars Tamil superstar Vijay in the lead role. The production of Leo is going on in full swing in Chennai.

Leo's production spanned over 50 days in Kashmir, with an additional 60 days of shooting still left to complete the film's production.

Lokesh has brought together an ensemble cast for Leo, which he claims is a '100 per cent Lokesh Kanagaraj movie'. This is a departure from his previous works, where he tailored the films according to the demands of the stars. With the success of Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan, Lokesh now has the freedom to make the film that he wants.

Alongside Vijay, the film features a star-studded cast including Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master and Mathew Thomas among others.
