The film will mark their third collaboration with the actor after Beast and Leo
It looks like popular stunt choreographer duo AnbAriv are once again reuniting with Vijay for his next, which is tentatively being referred to as Thalapathy 68. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and marks the duo's third collaboration with the actor after Beast and Leo.
AnbAriv, the most wanted stunt duo
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say the brothers are the most wanted stunt master duo in the southern film industry at the moment. Their stunt sequences in the Malayalam film, RDX, which is now streaming on Netflix, has already become a hit among the audience. In Tamil, their last outing was Kamal Haasan's Vikram, which is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Their reunion with Vijay for Thalapathy 68 has now become the talk of the town.
The Hollywood connect
The team had not long ago visited Hollywood's leading visual effects studio Lola VFX, which is also involved in the post-production work of Kamal Haasan and Shankar's Indian 2. Vijay is said to be playing a dual role in the film and it looks like the characters will be that of father and son. Names of Simran and Jyotika have been doing the rounds for the father's pair. Meanwhile, we hear that Priyanka Mohan will play the leading lady opposite the character of the son. An official announcement about the cast is yet to be made.
Yuvan to score music for Vijay after two decade
The last and only time Yuvan Shankar Raja had scored music for Vijay was for Pudhiya Geethai (2003). The film has Ameesha Patel and Meera Jasmine playing the leading ladies and the album was well received. The film will mark the comeback of the duo. Interestingly, Yuvan is also likely to score the music for his son Jason Sanjay's debut directorial, which is said to have Kavin in the lead. Thalapathy 68 is bankrolled by AGS Productions.
