Leo teaser update: Kamal Haasan joins Lokesh Kanagaraj to honour Thalapathy Vijay. Details inside

The latest buzz is the makers of Leo will release the teaser for the movie on June 22, coinciding with the birthday celebration of Thalapathy Vijay. What's more, Kamal Haasan has provided the voice-over. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited. 

One of the burning questions surrounding Leo is whether it is part of the cinematic universe being crafted by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The teaser release could finally provide some clues and insights into the film's connection to Lokesh's larger universe.

Apart from Vijay, Leo boasts an ensemble cast that includes renowned actors like Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, and Mathew Thomas, among others. Furthermore, Lokesh has also brought in popular YouTubers for special cameo appearances, adding an extra element of excitement for the audience.

Being produced on a grand scale, the makers of Leo have done a solid job protecting the integrity of the project by preventing leaks. The film is expected to expand the cinematic universe of drug lords and heroic spies that Lokesh is crafting.

Leo marks the second collaboration between Vijay and Lokesh following the blockbuster success of Master. Lokesh has described Leo as a "100 percent Lokesh movie," indicating that he has had the creative freedom to deliver his vision following the success of his previous film, Vikram. 

Leo is being mounted on an extensive budget under the Seven Screen Studio banner. The movie is due in cinemas on October 19.
