Apart from working in Hindi cinema, she has also acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Punjabi films. One such film which brought her immense recognition was Disco Singh.

From acting in daily soaps to working in different regional films, Chawla also hosted some reality shows before debuting in Bollywood in 2014.

Although Chhuri was a film that focused on Tisca Chopra (also co-producer), Chawla also played an important role in the movie.

Chopra played the role of a domesticated woman just like her character in the short film Chutney, while Chawla was seen as her (entitled and selfish) husband Sharad (Anurag Kashyap)'s mistress.

However, unlike Chutney, which gets increasingly intense towards the end, Chhuri takes a humorous turn.

Chhuri, directed by Mansi Jain, is available for viewing on YouTube.
