Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for his first pan-India release Liger. Recently, the actor has been seen sharing about his that he was in a long relationship with someone and in the process of becoming a star actor, he lost his lover.
In an interview with the magazine GQ India, Vijay shared about his family, selfless love, girlfriend and more. Coming from a middle-class family, the actor said that his father taught him the importance of money. He mentioned that his father's teaching was to focus on earning money and become a rich person as it is quite evident that money can buy all the materialistic happiness and society respect rich people.
While growing up, such thoughts got imprinted in the mind of young Vijay and as an adult, he never entertained the idea of love and romance in his mind; rather stayed focused to make it big as an actor.
Without naming any individual, Vijay said in part of an interview with the magazine, "After becoming an actor, I got into a long relationship that taught me a lot about love. I realised that it’s not a transaction and that people can love you selflessly for who you are. It took me a long time to learn that my dad was wrong. To unlearn what he taught me. But I’ll say this: His lesson got me to where I am. I achieved everything that I desired but it came at a price."
The 'Arjun Reddy' famed actor also admitted that during the process of making it big in the film industry, he lost many friends and people who perhaps genuinely loved him. He said that that is the price one pays to become a star, especially when coming from a non-film family.
Back in 2018, a picture was floating around on social media in which Vijay was seen with a girl, reportedly his girlfriend, named Virgine, from Belgium.
Recently there was another rumour that Vijay is apparently dating actress Rashmika Mandana. However, both the actors have denied the rumour on multiple occasions.
The film 'Liger' is directed by Puri Jagannadh, produced by Karan Johar, also starring - Ananya Pandey, Ramya Krishna, Makarand Deshpande and Mike Tyson - releases in theatre on August 25.
