Former professional boxer Mike Tyson is all set to make his Indian movie debut with Liger featuring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. In the film, the Telugu star will be seen playing the role of a boxer and is paired opposite Ananya Panday. Now, days after announcing Tyson's involvement in Liger, the makers have unveiled his first look poster on the occasion of Diwali. The photo features the legendary boxer packing a punch while suited up in style.

Karan Johar's home banner Dharma Productions shared the poster and captioned it as "The legend @MikeTyson is ready to celebrate this #Diwali with a few punches!"

Earlier, it was reported by The Times of India that Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna would be dubbing for Tyson in Liger. However, the news is yet to be confirmed by the makers.

Liger, directed by Puri Jagannadh, is a pan-Indian flick and also features Ramya Krishna in a supporting role. The action-drama is produced by KJo, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar and Jagannadh under the banners of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.

Liger was earlier titled Fighter and will be released in different languages, namely Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. The film has been extensively shot in Mumbai, Hyderabad as well as Goa.

Interestingly, with Liger, Ananya will be making her South film debut and the actor has been learning Telugu for the same too. Not just that, Vijay will also be making his Hindi film debut with the action flick. The film was set for a September 2021 release. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the release date has been postponed indefinitely, much to the dismay of the fans.

The first look poster of the Arjun Reddy actor sent the Internet into a meltdown and fans can't wait for more updates on Liger.
