Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday's most awaited action entertainer is finally released in theatres. The Puri Jagannadh directorial opened with mixed reviews. Amid all the buzz, it has now been unveiled that the movie is set to drop on Disney+ Hotstar to stream online post its theatrical run. 

According to an earlier report on Bollywoodlife.com, the film has been sold to the OTT giant for a whopping amount of Rs 65 crore, however, the official announcement on the same by the makers is yet to be out.

Liger, which was expected to win millions of hearts in the country, has rather gathered mostly negative reviews than positive ones. 

One of the Twitter users shared a personal review on the film and the actors and called the actor good, while the actress bad and also mentioned, "Bgm -worst Songs - meaning less Story - predictable Positive - #Ramyakrishna Negative - everything Direction- no vintage #PuriJagannadh Overall #LigerMovie is a panIndia disaster!!!! 2/5 #Liger #Ligerreview #Liger (Sic)."

Although, a Vijay fan tweeted, "India talk complete Positive untadi Don’t believe in any fake reviews Mass Cinema Mass Audience ki connect avthadi #Liger #BlockBusterLiger #ligerreview (Sic)."

Reportedly, the action flick is to be out digitally a couple of months after its theatrical release date. Meanwhile, Disney+ Hotstar is locked for film, however, the official date of Liger's OTT release is yet to be out. 

Liger is backed by Karan Johar, Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta and Hiroo Yash Johar under Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.

Apart from Vijay and Ananya, the latest film also features Ramya Krishnan, Makarand Deshpande, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy and Ali along with Mike Tyson, who plays an extended cameo role.
