Vijay Deverakonda and co-star Ananya Panday have been agressively promoting their upcoming film, Liger, a sports action drama. The film, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, and is gearing up for release on August 25. Vijay Deverakonda plays the titular character, an MMA fighter.

During his recent promotions in Mumbai, Vijay Deverakonda sent his fans into a frenzy as he belted out the now popular line, 'Sabki Waat Laga Denge', from the film. Addressing a packed crowd, Vijay Deverakonda said, "My Hindi is not very good. But, I will speak from my heart. As long as you understand, that's good enough for me."

He added that people were going to hear his name quite often hereafter. " If you do not know me, that's ok. Look at me nicely because this face and name, you are going to hear it quite often hereafter." He then went on to belt out the two people lines of his character from the film, "There is fire inside me, and we will fire up the world" and "Sabki Waat Laga Denge".

As the crowd got uncontrollable, Vijay Deverakonda requested his fans to not push each other and stay calm. But the crowd remained unmanageable, which led to the actors leaving the premises considering the safety of the fans, and to avoid a stampede. The actor later shared that he wished he could have stayed there a little longer. His tweet read, "Your love has touched me 鉂わ笍Hope you all are safe and back home. Wish I could have been there with you all so much longer. Thinking about you all as I go to bed. Goodnight Mumbai 馃鉂わ笍 #Liger (sic)."

Liger co-producer Charmme Kaur, too wrote, "Team #Liger is overwhelmed with all the love that you showered on us today at our mall visit in Mumbai. We would like to thank everybody who came to support us. Unfortunately, we had to leave midway for the safety of everyone! The massive turnout just resinstates the love you have showered on us and we would like to send the same love manifold to all our amazing fans! Hope everyone is safe (sic)."
