Liger: Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday starrer's OTT rights sold for a whopping amount to THIS platform?

The Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger has been the talk of the tinsel town since its first announcement. The sports drama film also marks the Bollywood debut of the American former professional boxer and actor Mike Tyson. According to the latest buzz, the OTT right to the movie has been acquired by Disney+ Hoststar.

According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, the film has been sold to the OTT giant for a whopping amount of Rs 65 crore. 

One of the recent promo videos of Liger glimpses of the MMA set up of the film and also gives a look into the life of the fighter, who is referred to as ‘Slum Dog of the streets of Mumbai’ and ‘The Chai Wala”. Vijay, who is playing the titular character has been in the headlines since he began the training and prep for his character in the movie.

Last year, the Indian actor shared a few posts featuring the cast and BTS pictures on Instagram. In one of the images, the Dear Comrade actor can be seen posing with the American boxer. The caption of the post reads, "This man is love Every moment I am making memories! And this one will forever be special.. #Liger Vs The Legend.. When I came face to face with Iron @miketyson (Sic).

Liger, which also features Ramya Krishnan, Makarand Deshpande and Ronit Roy, is now available to watch in theatres near you in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages, which marks Vijay's first pan-Indian film as well.
