Liger has found itself among the list of most anticipated films of the year. Fans got a glimpse of the thrill ride in store when the makers unveiled the film’s trailer on Thursday at a grand launch event in Hyderabad. The event was graced by some big names in the film industry, and Ranveer Singh was one among them. The actor released the film’s Hindi trailer and was his usual charming self at the event it seems. Ranveer teased Karan Joahr with a cheeky question at the event, which led to a delightful exchange between the two.

At the event, as reported by Bollywood Life, Ranveer questioned whether Karan ‘enjoyed’ seeing Vijay Deverakonda in knickers. The trailer had its fair share of shots featuring Deverakonda in wrestling trunks, and the makers had also recently released a poster where the actor is seen ‘baring it all’.

In his good humoured reply, Karan did not shy away from saying that he really did enjoy seeing Deverakonda that way. The filmmaker also added that he especially loved Deverakonda’s new poster and that the former got a ‘good look’ of the actor in knickers. Karan is a producer on the film, along with Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and Apoorva Mehta. The film was bankrolled under the banners of Puri Connects and Dharma Productions.

The event was also attended by Chiranjeevi, Prabhas and Dulquer Salmaan. The former two stars released the film’s Telugu trailer, the latter unveiled the Malayalam version of the same.

The upcoming film was written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. In addition to Deverakonda, Liger also features Ananya Panday as the female lead, with Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishna Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Desh Pandey and Getup Srinu in pivotal roles. Mike Tyson makes his Indian film debut with Liger.

Liger is slated to hit the silver screens on August 25. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
