Influencer and YouTuber Lilly Singh, Indian origin Canadian comedian cum actress cum philanthropist, who has won millions of hearts during 2020, threw a massive Diwali party this year. It was attended by the likes of Terry Crews, Ryby Rose, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Mindy Kaling, Tan France, Jay Shetty, Guru Randhawa, and Liza Koshy.

The party featured only the best of alcohol, Asian, Indian, and seafood items as well as different kinds of dessert. Though the aesthetic cake did not last long, its deliciousness was far outlasted by the party’s pure, white décor and lots of string lights, as well its playlist and rocking dance floor.

Dressed in a gorgeous, customized peach-toned outfit, with a jewel-encrusted blazer, dhoti pants, and a floaty cape, designed by designers Falguni Shane Peacock, Lilly Singh looked like a vision. She was further bedecked in diamond jewelry, along with smoky eyes and nude lips. Her theme this year was ‘Diwali dreamscape,’ and she lived up to the promise.

The actress took to Instagram to share photos and videos from the event, of her guests enjoying and madly grooving to the Johnny Walkers-partnered event. She commended the minimal usage of mobile phones at her party, including herself, The few pictures that Lilly Singh possesses from the event, she cherishes them, justifiably so.

She further wrote, “After the party, so many people texted me saying “your family and friends are so warm and welcome,” and that makes me really proud. I’ve been to one too many events in my life where I walked in and immediately felt awkward. I felt this pressure to put on an act and find acceptance.”

But she concluded by clarifying that she wanted this annual event to be the opposite of all these previous situations. “Whether this is your 30th Diwali, or your first, this party will always be about unity, warmth and inclusion. That good, good energy is mandatory. Grateful for these moments. This is love.”
