Lineman was promoted heavily before its release. The posters and promos caught the imagination of many for its interesting storyline. But sadly, the Kannada-Telugu bilingual flopped at the box office. We at OTTplay have already reported that Amazon Prime has bagged the OTT rights to the film. Now, the news is that Lineman has started streaming on Prime Video in Telugu.

Lineman OTT platform details

The popular platform did not release the Kannada version but added Lineman's Telugu version to its library. Lineman, directed by Raghu Sastry, was supposed to hit the screens on March 15, 2024. However, a slight delay in the Telugu censor led to the film's postponement. Finally, the film was released on March 22, 2024, and ended up being a big dud at the box office.

Talented actor Thrigun played the main lead in this film, which was his Kannada debut as well. The film stars B Jayashree, Sujay Shastry, Harini Srikanth, Samarth Narasimharaju, Kadri Manikanth, and Chetan Gandharva in key roles. It is about an electricity board lineman who refuses to provide electricity to a certain function, thereby creating many issues in the village.

Thrigun has been in the industry for almost ten years, but he has yet to score a proper hit. He has worked with different directors and even changed his name for astrology purposes, but all this has not worked for him to date. Thrigun has also done two Telugu web series, Mee Mugguri Love Story and 11th Hour. But here too, he did not find any luck in his career.

Lineman cast and crew details

Meanwhile, Lineman was produced by Yateesh Venkatesh and Ganesh Papanna under the banner of Purple Rock Entertainers. This village drama has a few relatable moments, and Thrigun's performance is sincere. So, all those who missed the film on the big screen can catch it on Amazon Prime Video. The release date of the Kannada version will be announced soon as per the news.
